Can you talk briefly about yourself?
I’m a graduate. I have a B.Sc. in Economics and Development Studies from Igbinedion University. I’m from Ile-Oluji in Ondo State. I was born and bred in Akure, Ondo State, and later moved to Lagos. I’m now based in Lagos. I’m 34; I was born on June 17, 1984.
Why did you choose to be a Taxify driver?
I didn’t choose to be a Taxify driver over my music career. Driving on Taxify platform is just a side hustle to make ends meet and to raise funds to clear my debts, pay some bills and push my music career.
What are your major challenges as a Taxify driver?
My major challenge is dealing with some difficult riders who seem to want to ruin one’s day. Some riders request with a wrong pickup location. Some would compel me to drive through a very terrible road that’s not good for cars. One also gets so many insults as a Taxify driver.
How do you cope?
I just try to keep cool and avoid confrontations.
When do you hope to return to music?
I never left music. Like I said earlier, I’m into driving because of my music career. I need some funds to push my music career and rebranding forward. Music is in me; we are inseparable.
Do you think you can make it big in music?

What have you done to get a promoter?
It’s unfortunate that I fell into wrong hands each time I tried to strike a deal with a promoter. The last promoter actually took a lot of money from me without any result. That really made me broke, so I registered my car with Taxify and started driving to get back on my feet.
How do you handle women, being a Taxify driver and an artiste?
Well, It’s no big deal; I just keep it professional. I’m all about the money, so I avoid flirting around. I’m too focused to flirt.
How has your family supported your music career?
My family has been my major support from day one. They really believe in me, so they support and encourage me with all they have. Well, I’m currently trying to raise funds like I said and looking out for some trusted fellow I can work with in terms of promoting and rebranding.
